Dear Parent/Carer

As you may know there was an accident in the car park the first week of term.  Luckily no one was hurt but the outcome of this could have been very serious had there been children crossing the car park.

I have become aware over the last two weeks that some parents use the car park to pick up and drop off.  I believe it has been requested several times in the past that parents do not use the staff car park for safety reasons.  Can I ask again, for the safety of all children, that no parent uses the staff car park.

This was discussed at the Parent Council meeting last night and I know many of you are also anxious about the safety of the children as they arrive and leave school.

A group from the Parent Council plan to meet to discuss a travel plan to further ensure the safety of all children travelling to and from school.  In the meantime I would also ask that you park carefully on Craighill Terrace and do so with consideration for the safety of yourself and others.

Again for the safety of the children can I also ask that no dogs are brought into the playground regardless of size or degree of cuteness!

Thank you for your co-operation with both of these requests.

Yours sincerely
