Achievement Certificates

Congratulations to all the children who were awarded an achievement certificate this month.

Shoebox Appeal

Over the last few weeks the school has been collecting items for the Blythswood Shoebox appeal. The shoeboxes are filled with various items and wrapped in Christmas paper. They are then sent to needy people in various parts of the world. Many thanks to everyone who donated something. Also a huge thanks to Muriel (our crossing patrol person), Elaine Houliston (playground supervisor), Katrina Corbett, Joy MacLeod, Ros Oliver-Jones and Tricia Torrance (parents and former parents) who packed and wrapped the boxes.

Members of the Pupil Council helped to load the lorry on ‘Children  in Need’ day (hence the modes of dress!!!)

Pantomime

M&M Theatre company visited the school recently to perform ‘Pinocchio’. Jack’s review is attached along with some photos. You will notice that there are two extra performers, Miss Orwin and Mr Mackay, the younger.

Scotsburn Road Crossing Patrol

Sonia, our Crossing Patrol Person on Scotsburn Road, has taken ill and the doctor has signed her off for all of next week.  Unfortunately I have no replacement so there will not be a Crossing Patrol Person on duty at any time next week on Scotsburn Road.

My apologies for any inconvenience that this might cause.

We wish Sonia a speedy recovery.
