Attached is our summer term update. Have a lovely holiday Craighill_Update_80 June 16
Craighill Primary School took on the Road to Rio challenge this term where we had to exercise our way from the UK to Rio where the Olympic Games are being held this summer. The whole school has contributed to the successful completion of the challenge this year.
In fact, Craighill has surpassed the target of 9,000km and is in the top 30 Schools in the whole of the UK. This shows how committed pupils and staff have been to being active this term. The Rod to Rio organisers sent the school 10 Olympic Team GB t-shirts as we have done so brilliantly.
There is still time to add more activities to our journey and the hope that we can reach the top 20. Everyone at Craighill should be very proud of their efforts this term.
Distance so far 163,717km
Unfortunately we have had to cancel the P4-7 sports for this afternoon due to the weather forecast. We will inform everyone of a new date by the end of today
Craighill Primary School took part in the Milton Football Festival this afternoon at Milton Primary School competing against Newmore, Park, South Lodge and Milton. Craighill remained unbeaten and finished with the highest points total. The team showed great skill, team work and determination throughout the tournament with Craighill’s Goalkeeper not conceding one single goal.
There was also a skill session set up to keep the children occupied when they were not playing. The players once again showed their true colours as their behaviour and attitude were exemplary as they represented the school magnificently.
We would like to thank Milton for hosting a great festival and Active Schools for help with the running of the event. We now move on to the Ross-Shire Schools Competition which takes place on Thursday.
Well done Craighill!
